Futurecrowds is run by David Capener, an architect, critic, writer, academic and educator based in Belfast & Dublin.
David’s research at Technological University Dublin investigates the production of space in an age of planetary computation, how this space is produced, and what it means to practice as an architect amidst these spatial transformations. David’s research is in collaboration with the Marie Curie funded Real Smart Cities Project, directed by Philosopher of Technology Bernard Stiegler, head of the Institut de Recherche et d’Innovation (IRI) at the Pompidou Centre.
David teaches on the masters program at Queens University School of Architecture
He writes about architecture and design for the Irish Times, The Guardian, The Sunday Times, New Statesman and numerous other print and online publications.
